Paul speaks of the mysteries of God and shares the secret of having a deeper life in Christ. He explains what it means to put on the new man.

Paul tells of the joy of generous giving using God as our example.  We give because God gave. We are to glory in the Lord rather than ourselves.

Paul explains that God gives us spiritual gifts so that we can help others. The gifts are worthless without the love of God. Paul identifies witnesses of Christ’s resurrection and explains why the resurrection is critical to us.

O: The sacrifices show holiness as a requirement for a relationship with God. They foreshadow Christ’s sacrifice for us.
WN: The psalmist contrasts Godly wisdom with the views of the wicked.

O: The design and construction of the Tabernacle picture Christ and God’s effort in making a way to meet Him.
WN: The psalmist gives praise to God and expresses trust in Him.

John urges believers to be wary of those who deny Christ as Savior, fail to love those in need, or show no concern about sin.

Jesus prepares those closest to Him for His death, resurrection, and arrival of the Holy Spirit. He emphasizes the importance of love in God’s family.

Old Testament: The Passover lamb foreshadows Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. God gives the 10 Commandments to Moses.
Wisdom/New Testament: The psalmist pleas for God’s help, praises Him, and admits man’s folly.

Old Testament: Joseph’s life parallels that of Jesus in many ways.
Wisdom/New Testament: Job suffers in some ways similar to Jesus (mocking, silence from God, extreme physical suffering)
