James 5 give us practical lessons on prayer. Jude warns of the ungodly who can creep into a church. The book of Matthew traces  Jesus’ heritage from Abraham and shows Jesus as the King and Messiah.

O: The enemies of Israel and Judah take them captive.
WN: Mark presents Jesus as the Perfect Servant.

O: Both of Israel’s kingdoms ignore the prophets’s warning. God allows their enemies to take them captive.
WN: Jesus voluntarily dies on the cross to give us a way to become part of God’s family.

O: Israel divides into two kingdoms. God raises up prophets such as Elijah to turn His people back from the influence of evil kings.
WN: Jesus promises to build His Church. Jesus gives us the greatest commandment.

O: King Solomon unites Israel and builds the Temple but allows his wives to draw him away from God.
WN: Jesus sends His apostles to preach to the Jews and He begins to teach in parables.
